You could be fat and be really healthy, and you could be skinny and be an absolute train wreck.

Do: Please embrace that FIT is about being well. There are so many facets to “being well” and the emphasis on waist size, body fat percentage or how you look should NOT be the leading factor. Body composition is simply ONE marker for wellness. A healthy relationship with food and nutrition is far more important than thin. Mental wellness, overall strength, cardiovascular fitness, mobility, etc. All of these are measures and biomarkers for being well.

Don’t: Beat yourself up. If you know us, then you know this message well. We love all shapes & sizes. All are welcome and we are here to help EVERYONE. We will always redirect the conversation to remind you of what matters. Are you doing ok? Are you happy? Are you stronger? Do you have more energy? We do not care now, nor will we care in the future, if you’re thinner or lost weight. That s\*\*t isn’t on our radar screen.
