Sled Push

Sled Push
The sled push is an excellent exercise… but how do you make sure you’re getting the most out of it based on your goals?

Do: Know what you’re looking to do. If speed training, go light and stay FAST! If you’re looking to increase strength, focus on driving your foot down into the ground and methodically march your way forward.

Don’t: Continue to push the sled if your form/spine angle breaks down. Treat this movement with the same respect you would a loaded squat or deadlift. The position of your spine/back is everything! It’s an incredible training tool when utilized correctly. Just make sure that you know when a set should be over.

The most Common Fault is athletes being blinded by the push distance (need to make it 10 yards) and don’t listen to the signs of the form breaking down earlier.
