Sets and Reps Based on Goals
Different goals at the gym will all have different parameters in regard to how you are executing your sets and reps. Watch the video to learn more, and screenshot the graphic at the end of this video for some specifics.

Do: Acknowledge that there is a ton of information attached to program design and effective design. You do NOT have to train like this BUT if you have a specific training goal or target you need to think about these rules. Yes, there is obviously some individuality to this information and graphic based upon a person’s genetic make-up and training age. Overall, this is a very great resource to design your programming around. If you like going to the gym and you feel strong enough, we love that for you and please continue. No changes necessary.

Don’t: Feel like you have to go at this alone. Program design is an art. I always like to think of this industry like cooking NOT baking. There are certain rules that pertain to what works and what doesn’t. Just like chicken is either cooked or it’s still raw. The creativity of your program design has a lot of factors regarding what works for your body, muscle fiber type orientation, volume, load... there is A LOT!

AT the end of the day the most important element is that you are choosing movement everyday. Celebrate movement.
