Are you trying to get stronger, but feel like you’re stuck at the same weight all the time? You may benefit from fractional loading.

Do: Know that you DO have the ability to get stronger. Taking the approach of progressive overload is everything. Keeping your increases in weight between 3% - 5% is ideal for growth & gains while not overwhelming the body from set to set.

Don’t: Think that this doesn’t apply to you, it does! It’s science. Following progress overload is not only going to allow for forward progress but it also helps stay in line with a safe approach. Oftentimes when we take on to “large of a jump” we may get the reps but at what cost? The progressive approach allows you to continue to express quality form and elicit the drive from the working muscle groups and without the use of momentum.
